When going south for the winter, consider Louisiana. You will be entering a state with a lot of mystery and history to it, and you can be sure to find the excitement of visiting plantations to be quite an experience. And, who would want to miss out on a chance to visit New Orleans, one of the outstanding cities- not only in Louisiana, but in the whole United States.
There are many cities worth visiting: Baton Rouge, Houma, Natchitoches, Lafayette, St. Francisville, Shreveport , as well as Monroe. Some of the major attractions for snowbirds going south for the winter, including: The Aquarium of the Americas, Zam's Swamp Tours, Mardi Gras, Audubon Zoo, Louisiana Children's Museum, Blue Bayou Water Park, Sci-Port Discovery Center, RW Norton Art Gallery, Natchez Steamboat and Marie Laveau's House of Voodoo.
Louisiana also affords you the possibility of visiting the Cajun Country that is great for food as well as dancing which are both a way of life as well as a means of sustenance and even entertainment.
