Ski Vacations on a Budget

Skiing on a budgetSurely you've noticed that it's easy to find a lot of information about various resorts and packages while looking for the perfect ski vacation. It's finding that perfect vacation that will fit into your budget.

A great way to save money is by looking for lesser known resorts. This doesn't mean that these resorts won't provide you with a fun vacation; it just means that since they aren't jam packed with guests the prices may be a bit cheaper. You should also look for ski packages that will include your lodging, lift tickets, lessons, rentals and possibly even some meals.

You'll need to be willing to make a couple of sacrifices if saving money is a serious issue. For example, instead of eating in an expensive restaurant each night, try fast food, or make sandwiches in your room. You could borrow equipment from friends instead of renting or even join a group for lessons instead of taking private lessons. Instead of staying at a lodge, stay at a motel farther away from the slopes.

There are a number of ways that you can trim down the expense of your ski trip and still have a memorable, exciting ski vacation!
