Packing Right for Your Winter Vacation

One of the most important things you can do if you are planning on taking a winter vacation is to be sure and pack right. Here are some tips on what to pack when going on a winter vacation.

Choose your coat carefully
Coats usually take up space and while you can take more than one coat, choosing one carefully can help save you space and weight. If you are going skiing, make sure you have a jacket that is comfortable, warm and that you can move easily in. If you are going to a city, make sure your coat is presentable for nice restaurants and maybe the theater.

Dress in layers
The best way to dress for cold climates is layers; start off by packing some thermal undergarments, a few t shirts and then a sweater or sweatshirt. It's always easier to add a layer if you're cold then having one heavy item on.

Pack some good footwear
Boots and shoes are very important and when there's snow on the ground it won't be long until your feet are wet. Make sure you have boots that resist water or shoes that dry easily.
